The Only Preemptive Key Loss Solution
Re-keying a building or a floor due to key loss is expensive, time consuming, and exposes the building and tenants to potential security and safety breaches. Eliminate that risk.
ekt Features
[electronic key tether]
- Prevention: The solution to key loss is the electronic tether that keeps keys within a 15-step radius of the user.
- Ease-of-Use: ekt is easily removed by pressing on the thumb release button and returned to the belt unit with a simple click and snap.
- Triple Threat Alarms: The belt unit and key unit emit a combination of unique alarms based on feel (vibration of belt unit), audio (chirp alarm on belt unit and louder 85 dB alarm on key unit), and visual (strobe on key unit). This combination makes identifying key location quick and fool-proof.
- Reliability: ekt runs on standard AAA batteries with an average life of six months. Once batteries reach 20% capacity, a warning chirp alerts users that they need to be replaced.
- Scalability: Multiple ekts can work in close proximity to one another because each key unit is uniquely married to its belt unit via an RF signal generator.
- Customization: Company logos can be added to ekts to provide individual branding opportunities.
- ROI: Prevent one key loss event from happening and the ekt has paid for itself.
How ekt works
The patented ekt [electronic key tether] has two parts: the key unit, which holds the key ring, and the host unit, which securely attaches to any belt or utility belt.
The key unit fits into the host unit with a standard male/female quick-release latch allowing the user to easily access and use keys. The key unit is returned to the belt unit with a quick and easy snap-on motion and an audible “click” lets users know the keys are securely back in place.
Unique alarms on both the host and key units activate when the user and keys are separated by more than 10 to 15 steps. The host unit, which is worn on the user’s belt, vibrates and emits a chirp alert, while the key unit sounds an ~85 decibel alarm and flashes a bright LED warning strobe light.
All four alarms will continue until the key unit is safely reattached to the host unit, making it virtually impossible to misplace or accidentally walk away from keys.
ekts are covered by a limited one-year warranty and full 30-day money back guarantee. If you aren’t satisfied, Tether Technologies will offer a full refund for up to three ekts within 30 days from purchase.
